Message: I am contacting you is regarding the above mentioned Challenge which my husband and I are undertaking in April 2009.

Our team comprises 32, 30 of whom are women, and we will be hiking along the Great Wall of China for 6 days (amazing as almost all of these woman are breast cancer survivors - as am I - and we range in age from 36 - 61 years old).

I have been very busy (for the past 2 months) raising sponsorship to secure Richard and my tour costs, as we just couldn't afford to pay for these ourselves. My main aim is to raise awareness for girls like me, within South Africa, as well as to raise money for St Luke's Hospice and

I am presently gathering prizes for a raffle evening which will be taking place on Friday, 5th December 2008 at Noordhoek Farm Village, and I wondered whether Caroline's Health and Beauty Salon would consider sponsoring a voucher for this event. It would be so wonderful and

Basically what I am doing is trying to secure about 80 - 100 prizes (ranging from hotel accommodation, restaurant vouchers, spa vouchers, sporting equipment, facial products, chocolates, wine hampers etc).

I am going to be sending our special invitations out to only family and friends (and friends of friends etc) inviting them to attend our raffle evening.

It will be an evening where we will have a drink and snacks,I will do an inspirational, and thank you speech, talking about the Challenge and the breast cancer cause which I am so passionate about. We will then draw the raffles.

What I am aiming to do is to give EACH PERSON / or COUPLE a prize, this is why I am trying to secure so very many prizes no easy feat!

So many people are helping us make our dream for cancer awareness a reality and its a great way for us to give back to them in a sense. I would like everyone to go home with something.

The raffle will be aimed at raising sponsorship for Richard and my tour costs on the China Challenge, as well as for our hiking equipment etc. Any other proceeds will go to our chosen charity, St Luke's Hospice.
